The name is not accidental - Krystian's smile and positive attitude to life accompanied him every day. One could say that he infected others with his optimism.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:1rem\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A brief history of the Share a Smile Foundation\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>On 9 September 2018, Krystian Popiela died in a car accident -<\/strong> he was a young footballer, a person full of passion and love for sport. The news of this tragic event shocked his relatives, friends and the entire sporting community. Coming to terms with the passing of such a young and vibrant person was and still is very difficult.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>On 26 January 2019, the signing of the founding deed of the Krystian Popiel Foundation \u2018Let's Share a Smile\u2019 took place.<\/strong> The official launch of our Foundation was the culmination of a two-day event held in Tarn\u00f3w - Krystian's home town. Together with the friendly School of the Sports Championship ZKS Unia Tarn\u00f3w, under the patronage of the President of the City of Tarn\u00f3w and with the help of many people, we organised a two-day children's football tournament - the 1st Memorial named after Krystian Popiela and a ceremonial \u2018Dinner with a Smile\u2019, at which we officially launched the activities of our Foundation. This is how it all began.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"531\" height=\"580\" src=\"https:\/\/dzielmysieusmiechem.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/FUND.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-592\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dzielmysieusmiechem.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/FUND.jpg 531w, https:\/\/dzielmysieusmiechem.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/FUND-275x300.jpg 275w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">On January 26, 2019, Krystian's parents: Agnieszka and Jarek officially signed the operating documents of the \"Dzielmy si\u0119 u\u015bmiechem\" Krystian Popiela Foundation<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Share a Smile Foundation has been running continuously since 2019 - during which time:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We have taken 60 young athletes under our wing.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We organised a celebratory Dinner with a Smile.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We organised 4 Balls with a Smile.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We have organised 5 Memorials and numerous sporting events.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dzielmysieusmiechem.pl\/en\/ludzie-fundacji\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Meet the people who make up the Foundation<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>WhWho are we helping?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>The \u2018Let's Share a Smile\u2019 Foundation helps young athletes who have suffered accidents, serious injuries or serious illnesses. Depending on their needs, we help our charges by funding:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>surgeries,\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>rehabilitations,\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>trainings,\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>sports scholarships.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>We help them with both physical and mental recovery so that they can get back to pursuing their dreams and sporting passions.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Our Foundation also supports disabled young people, Paralympians and children with difficult financial circumstances. We fund their participation in sports camps and training camps, as well as food and the necessary sports equipment.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dzielmysieusmiechem.pl\/en\/sprawozdania-finansowe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Financial statements of the Foundation<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We help them rebuild physically and mentally so that they can get back to pursuing their dreams and passions in sport. We accompany and support them in difficult times. This is our duty to Krystian.
