THE FOUNDATION’s MANAGEMENT BOARD:
AGNIESZKA POPIELA
(I manage the foundation), a social function. Mother of the deceased Krystian, the namesake of the foundation.
It is from her that we can draw strength and inspiration. The tragedy that turned her life upside down will forever remain a wound in her heart, but despite the pain, she moves forward, and fuels her maternal suffering into good, running the foundation of which she is president.
Delicate but strong.
Life has not been easy since Krystian’s passing, but running the foundation gives Aga a new meaning in life and the feeling that the memory of our Krystek will live on!
JAROSŁAW POPIELA
Jarosław Popiela is a former Polish footballer, father of the late Krystian Popiela, but also the founder of the foundation named after his son. Privately, husband of Agnieszka Popiela and father of Alex and Ksawier. Jarosław Popiela is a man with a big heart, for whom helping others is a priority.
AGNIESZKA LIS
(I manage the foundation), a social function,
and Krystian’s closest aunt and Godmother,
who will never grow indifferent to human suffering. She treats each of the Foundation’s charges as she would her own family. For her, nothing is impossible. After each defeat, she rises still stronger and full of new ideas. She infects everyone with her enthusiasm. While helping refugees from Ukraine, she was able to work tirelessly 24 hours a day. Privately, mother of Nathan, whom she tirelessly supports on his sporting path, and wife of Tomek.
ŁUKASZ POPIELA
Father of little Krystian, brother of Agnieszka and Jarosław. He has been involved in football for 30 years. He played, among others, in such clubs as Unia Tarnów, Siarka Tarnobrzeg, Stal Rzeszów, Puszcza Niepołomice. He has been associated with the Foundation since its inception. His biggest goal is to help his charges and turn their sporting dreams into reality.
FOUNDATION TEAM:
NADZIEJA NIKIEL (psychologist)
Nadzieja studied psychology at the Higher School of Social Sciences and Humanities and completed four-year therapeutic training certified by the Scientific Section of Psychotherapy and the Scientific Section of Family Therapy of the Polish Psychiatric Association.
She graduated in history from the University of Szczecin.
She is a teacher and psychologist at an elementary school and high school.
Our charges can count on our Angel, on her much-needed psychological support, because failures are a strong mental burden with which they often battle.
She works and supports the Foundation out of the goodness of her heart, pro bono.
For her charity work, she was awarded with the Big Heart statuette by the local community.
She also cares for and conducts therapeutic classes with children from Ukraine.
She was strongly involved with our foundation in helping those in need from Ukraine.
Privately, Nadzieja is the happy mother of Misia and wife of Radek.
RADOSŁAW NIKIEL (lawyer)
A lawyer with over 30 years of professional experience.
He was the first to extend a helping hand to us, giving us the necessary legal advice. His office took care of all the formalities so that the foundation could come into existence.
Always ready to help and support the foundation to this day.
Privately, he is a fantastic father to Misia and Olga and the husband of our foundation friend Nadzieja.
Radek loves sport, I don’t think there is a discipline that he would not be interested in. He loves skiing and traveling, and his passion is music.
MARCIN CHRAPUSTA
He belongs to the foundation family.
Involved in the activities of the Foundation from the very beginning. Author of many initiatives, graphics, handyman, a “creative genius”. He is always there to help and nothing is impossible for him.
He will always find a solution. Privately married to Sylwia, with whom he raises two promising goalkeepers of the young generation – Piotrek and Kuba.
PAWEŁ TYNIEC (lawyer)
He gives us advice, and all legal matters are his domain.
We can always count on his support.
Paweł specialises in commercial and company law, copyright law and IT law. He has extensive merits in the field of litigation, enforcement and security proceedings. Author of press publications in the field of Internet law.
Outside of work: motorcyclist, avid sailor, fan of historical and travel literature.
MONIKA WALIGÓRA (accountant)
She guards our finances.
Monika has been with us since the beginning of our foundation. She offered us help with financial and accounting issues without receiving any remuneration for it.
Monika and her husband Marek support the foundation by also engaging in actions supporting our charges. People with Big Hearts on whom we can count!
Together they raise two wonderful children, Hania and Szymon – a promising footballer.
Monika loves travelling, skiing, music and of course football (she is a loyal supporter of her son).
FOUNDATION COUNCIL:
NADZIEJA NIKIEL
A Person with a Huge Heart.
She sees human problems that she does not pass by. Sensitive to harm, especially in young people. She listens and hears, helps from the need of the heart. She is always there where others are in need, and therefore she could not be missing here.
Mother of Misia and wife of Radek. Together they are involved in supporting our foundation.
AGATA KOZIEL SAŁATA
Wonderful, empathetic. Sensitive to human needs. She is there to help the weaker and the needy. She always finds time for others. Involved in charitable activities.
She helps out of the need of the heart, not for applause, because everyone is needed by someone.
A woman with a Big Heart.
Mother of Marysia and Frania, wife of Michał, with whom she strongly supports our Foundation.
BOGDAN ZAJĄC
An excellent former player of many Polish and foreign clubs. Representative of Poland, multiple winner of the Polish championship and the Polish Cup with Wisła Kraków.
After the end of his football career, a great coach. Among others, assistant coach of Adam Nawałka’s national Polish team.
He participated in the finals of the European Championships and the World Championships. He is a role model for many young athletes who admire his skills and commitment. Bogdan is a man with a big heart and willingness to help others. He has been associated with the Foundation since its inception.
